摘要: Abstract Phaseolotoxin [(Nδ-phosphosulphamyl)ornithylalanylhomoarginine] has recently been identified as a phytotoxin present in culture medium which the bean halo blight organism, Pseudomonas phaseolicola, growing. The paper compares biological activity (leaf-chlorosis) with phaseolotoxin content of such media. comparison was made for isolates from range geographical origins, hosts and host responses. There close correlation between content. When P. phaseolicola cultured at temperatures above 18 °C, toxic decreased progressively an increase temperature. production accounted all examined. may be useful determinative character unique to phaseolicola. glycinea produced biologically active extract but did not produce any phaseolotoxin.
