摘要: This study characterizes different rainfall types using surface-based instruments (i.e. micro rain radar and laser precipitation monitor) installed at the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar Jatani, Odisha, India. A total twelve cases including four from each season, i.e. pre-monsoon, monsoon post-monsoon, are considered. The segregation is carried out reflectivity intensity. In general, initial dominantly convective followed by a stratiform type. Two distinct maxima noted 3 5 km, suggesting presence high liquid water content melting band. suggests occurrence warm process with shallow, intense cores. Results indicate higher drop number density below 2 km smaller size drops for vice versa rainfall. Furthermore, Z–R relationships computed all linear regression method, results suggest that shows slope parameter lower intercept as compared to distribution mono-modal bimodal pattern rainfall, respectively.
