摘要: The cadmium contamination mechanism in bird feathers was investigated using starlings fed with diets containing 10 and 50 ppm Cd for five months. experiment started about two months before the beginning of annual complete feather molt lasted until most birds completed primaries. Concentrations liver, kidney, uropygial gland were highly correlated, but concentration 100 times lower. Cadmium found both old new feathers, a dose-related manner. Old. showed higher metal concentrations than ones primaries secondaries. Feather correlated gland. use are, therefore, reliable method monitoring pollution, differences between type age must be considered to correctly interpret data collected field.
