摘要: The invention is the use of nitronyl substituted hindered phenols as antioxidants in therapeutic applications. In preferred embodiment compositions have general formula (I), wherein R1 hydrogen, an alkyl or aryl and R2 aryl; R3 alkyl; R4 alkyl. Further, relates to novel useful antioxidants. compounds include: 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-(N-tert-octyl) phenol (DBONP); 2,6-dimethyl-4-(N-tert-octyl) (DMONP); N-tert-octyl-C-phenyl nitrone (OPN).
