摘要: Traditionally, students of foraging behavior have been concerned with determining “what animals feed on, where they go to feed, and how search for food” (Krebs, Stephens & Sutherland 1983, p. 166). None these traditional subjects will be discussed in much detail this chapter. Instead I focus on the question often parents their young. For behavior, is a valuable two reasons. (1) To understand an animal’s we must understand, not only decision which items harvest while foraging, but also whether forage or perform some other activity. (2) (helpless) nestling young, food harvested may either consumed by parent brought back nest Thus always decide between maintaining itself investing its current offspring. The evidence presented here that levels self-feeding brood-feeding are fixed results dynamic process. Moreover, suggests choice prey affected level brood-feeding.
