摘要: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prognostic usefulness basal electrocardiogram and exercise stress test in 374 patients with unstable angina submitted coronary angiography during same hospitalization period. After stabilization symptoms by medical therapy, were subdivided into four groups according ECG test: Group 1 (54 normal negative for ischaemia); 2 (86 positive 3 (59 abnormal 4 (175 ischaemia). severity atherosclerosis impairment left ventricular function increased progressively from 4, although differences not significant between Groups 3. When discharged, treated verapamil nitrates followed a period ranging 8 years; follow-up, only one patient underwent bypass surgery, compared 22, 7 46 2, respectively. eight-year survival rate (1-4) 100%, 97%, 88% 70%, Statistically observed 3, 4. Thus, allow population be selected (Group 1), having excellent long-term prognosis. These could avoid angiography, thereby reducing hospital costs, without compromising their health.
