摘要: A methodology to assess the impact of a hydropower facility on downstream water quality is described. Negative impacts can result from substitution discharges aerated over spillway with minimally turbine that are often withdrawn lower reservoir levels, where dissolved oxygen (DO) typically low. Three case studies illustrate proposed method and problems be encountered. Historic data used establish probability low‐dissolved‐oxygen occurrences. Synoptic surveys, combined monitoring, give an overall picture water‐quality dynamics in river reservoir. Spillway aeration determined through measurements adjusted for temperature.
