摘要: Abstract The popularity of white asparagus (Asparagus officinalis L.) spears is mainly due to its unique flavour and high concentration health promoting compounds. Physical elicitors that activate plant defence systems are known cause an increase antioxidant compounds in tissue, such as phenolic compounds, their corresponding enzymes (e.g. phenylalanine ammonia- lyase, [PAL, EC 4.3.1.5], peroxidase [POD, 1.11.1.7]). objective this work was evaluate the impact UV-B on PAL POD kinetics, well characterize resulting changes flavonoid composition different morphological sections (apical basal) harvested spears. For purpose, cultivar ‘Gijnlim’ were irradiated with either 0.54 kJ m− 2 or 1.08 kJ m− 2 UV-B. In order follow temporal dynamics treatments, analysis performed after 2 h 22 h adaptation. Results revealed polyphenol composition, activity related (PAL, POD), parts mediated by dosage at adaptation times. flavonol quercetin-4′-O-monoglucoside showed most pronounced response because increased increasing dosage. Furthermore, both segments tended higher contrast, base segment decrease irradiation, while tips remained unaffected. However, activities influenced time. While decreased duration time, opposite behaviour. presented results complexity system asparagus, which discussed detail.
