Method development and validation for the estimation of famotidine in pure and tablet dosage form by derivative spectroscopy and uv-spectroscopy

摘要: Two simple, precise, rapid, sensitive and accurate spectrophotometric methods have been developed for the estimation of famotidine in pure tablet dosage form. Method A: showed an absorbance maxima at 266 nm methanol: water (80:20 V/V) UV spectroscopy; linearity was found to be concentration range 4 - 20 μg/ml, correlation coefficient were 0.9993, precision values 0.32–1.38 with mean accuracy value 100.18–103.39 %, limit detection 0.22 quantification 0.67. B: minima 254 nmin first order derivative 1.0, 1.05–1.18 97.33–102.05 % respectively, 0.66 2.0. Both validated as per International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines.
