摘要: Sleep loss caused by the frequent need to void at night inflicts a heavy burden on patients with nocturia and their partners. Nocturia is defined as wake one or more times void, each preceded followed sleep [1], but studies of relationship between QoL (quality life) suggest that becomes clinically significant when ≥2 voids per are experienced [2, 3]. At this level, consistently found be most troublesome lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) [4, 5], significantly compromising overall [6, 7]. Many people consider inevitable consequences growing old despite, perhaps because of, fact it highly prevalent, affecting approximately half adult population, increasing age [8]. However, condition also affects proportion younger adults [9], sleep-related can have serious impact lives partners [10, 11]. If bothered condition, would seem appropriate investigate address specific causes contributing nocturnal voiding frequency.
