摘要: Adopting a neo-Gramscian framework, I argue that the Chilean Socialist Party (PSCh), as part of governing Concertacion coalition, has played key role in constructing consent and disarticulating dissent to neo-liberal hegemony Chile. This is result its co-optation into historic bloc formed during Pinochet dictatorship, which democratic political face. process occurs relation popular classes within, outside, PSCh, actualised by series intra-party, extra-party, policy-making policy-discourse mediations. The analysis PSCh's (re)producing Chile helps unlock black box empirical theoretical investigation regards construction neo-liberalism subordinated. In doing so it highlights conflictual, contradictory therefore contingent nature this process.
