摘要: Abstract Single crystals up to 40 mm wide and 120 long made of zirconia with yttria addition were investigated over the temperature range −140 1400°C by methods conventionally used for advanced ceramics. The stress-strain curves analysed. Up 1000°C all linear (the ‘brittleness measure’, χ = 1), on heating a minimum value measure’ partially stabilized was 0·73. At MOR cubic single is almost 2 times higher than at 20°C greatly dependent loading rate. strength PSZ decreases an increase in temperature. decrease test from ambient −140°C results 20% these crystals, latter being practically independent relation between elastic moduli fracture toughness investigated.
