Tuning the photoluminescence and ultrasensitive trace detection properties of few-layer MoS2 by decoration with gold nanoparticles

摘要: We report an easy and inexpensive chemical route for the decoration of few-layer MoS2 with Au nanoparticles (NPs). The Au-NPs are formed on defect sites localized by a non-covalent bond. NPs act as p-type dopant in layer. An enhancement photoluminescence (PL) intensity Au–MoS2 composite respect to bare has been observed. also systematically observed blue shift excitonic emission number size increased. Both phenomena have understood result from switching between charged exciton (trion) recombination neutral recombination. A potential application demonstrated, using it substrate surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). SERS measurements show uniform, reproducible, strong signal adsorbed molecules concentrations low 10−12 M. Our work provides method tune optical electronic properties MoS2, might be useful efficient ultrasensitive detection biomolecules.
