摘要: This work presents important new evidence that the crosslinked structure of swollen polymers acts as a molecular screen for diffusion large solutes. Diffusion experiments bovine serum albumin through well-characterized, water-swollen poly(vinyl alcohol) networks were conducted using modification Colton and Kaufmann/Leonard cells. The prepared by chemical crosslinking dilute aqueous polymer solutions, their characteristics analyzed equilibrium swelling experiments. Networks with number average weight between crosslinks, Mc, 2,000 11,150 used studies. results BSA showed normalized coefficient depends on value Mc it decreases significantly density increases. A previously proposed theoretical analysis solute highly is examined to its ability predict experimental data. It concluded assumed linear dependence mesh size not correct even membranes.
