摘要: Microwave pyrolysis of oil palm fiber (OPF) with three types Na-based catalysts was experimentally investigated to produce biochar. Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), sodium chloride (NaCl), and carbonate (Na2CO3) purity 99.9% were selected for this investigation. muffle reactor (Model: HAMiab-C1500) a microwave power controller including generator used perform the pyrolysis. OPF particles after removing foreign materials, impurities, dust. ranges from 400 900 W, temperature 450 700 °C, N2 flow rates 200 -1200 cm3/min along all Lower power, temperature, rate have been found favorable higher yield NaOH is be as more suitable catalyst than NaCl Na2CO3 A maximum biochar (51.42 wt%) has by using at cm3/min. One sample (maximum without catalysts) further characterization via thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), BET surface area, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultimate proximate analysis. SEM area showed presence some pores in High percentage carbon (60.24 also recorded The high significant impact on soil fertilization increasing sequestration soil. It assists slow down decomposition nutrients therefore enhances quality.
