摘要: This investigation deals with the effects of compressibility on hydrodynamic stability wake flows. It is found that effect temperature two-fold: (1), as core increases, range Mach numbers over which neutral and self-excited subsonic disturbances can exist also increases; (2) long relative number below critical inviscid wave will decrease increasing temperature, implying a hot be more stable than cool one. The analysis Batchelor Gill for axi-symmetric incompressible jets has been extended to general problem compressible wakes jets. shown results are directly analogous those obtained two-dimensional problem. The sinuous (n = 1) mode most unstable allowable mode. observed in hypersonic wake.
