摘要: This chapter analyzes various approaches to overcoming true clinical inertia, that which cannot be justified. (1) Education of physicians, during their initial training and through Continuous Medical Education. (2) Facilitators: use protocols, electronic medical records, disease management, establishment a Coordinated Health Care Plan, telemedicine. (3) Strengthening the physician’s motivation incentives by health authorities (pay for performance), peers other healthcare professionals (pharmacists, nurses), patients. The own self-incentive, in form precommitment, is analyzed detail calling upon concepts developed within framework philosophy mind, with special focus on importance habit. (4) We insist physician knowing risks presented heuristics.
