摘要: Abstract Autobiographical memories are more imbued with affect when one adopts a first-person or field perspective during event retrieval, rather than third-person observer perspective. We combined fMRI, narratives, and subjective ratings to identify the neural networks engaged versus for real-world events. Our results revealed significant decreases in bilateral insula left somato-motor activity recall of memories, paired small relative increase right posterior amygdala coincident memories. Notably, these regions showed no overlap those areas mediating narrative content emotionality remembered findings suggest that is not simply driven by increased limbic activation retrieval Rather, there also reduction one's cortical representations physical, embodied self – disembodied taken at retrieval.
