摘要: Dry eye disease, or keratoconjunctivitis sicca, is a multifactorial syndrome with altered tear film homeostasis leading to ocular irritations. These alterations cause discomfort and stress for the patient, but only few objective parameters allow proper differential diagnosis into different subtypes of this condition. The mostly invasively performed standard assessment procedures are manifold, often correlate quite poorly subjectively reported symptoms. Due inherent limitations, e.g. subjectivity commonly invasive tests, number devices have been developed assess human non-invasively. Since production, delivery, distribution drainage dynamic process, we focused our review on non-invasive methods which capable continuous repetitive observations during an inter-blink interval. include (1) Interferometry, (2) Pattern Projection, (3) Aberrometry, (4) Thermography; (5) Evaporimetry. techniques discussed respect their diagnostic value, both screening Eye Disease. Many obtained from these tests shown potential reliably discriminate patients healthy subjects, especially when automatically objectively. differentiation based solely single, parameter may not be feasible, combination non-invasively provide good discrimination results.
