摘要: Sweat rates on the forearm and palm were simultaneously recorded by resistance hygrometry mode of sweating in these areas response to thermal non-thermal stimuli compared with each other.In Series A, periodic infrared irradiation (1min on, 1min off) was done back trunk, reflex responses sweat rate both test areas. These observations reveal that central mechanism may be affected some extent thermoregulatory mechanism.Series B concerned pattern various stimuli. Careful showed responded diversely mental stimuli, unlike whose always an increase. Mental arithmetic, testing physical exercise caused immediate increase but often elicited transient decrease sweating, whereas pain, noise, emotional consistently provoked as well palm. suggest activities higher centers, presumably involving neocortex limbic cortex, exert influences mechanisms generalized sweating.
