摘要: Objective: To study the involvement of eight angiogenic growth factors that have been identified so far in literature, especially vascular endothelial factor, proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Methods: Samples neovascular membranes were obtained from patients; these samples, excised at vitrectomy, used to expression messenger RNA by using method reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. Vitreous aspirates taken and control patients quantify factor-like activity with a competitive radioreceptor assay. Results: Of studied, factor was only one always expressed samples membranes. Furthermore, receptor-binding greater vitreous than (P Conclusion: Vascular seems be an appropriate candidate for mediating retinal neovascularization.
