摘要: This review focuses on the (mal)adaptive processes in atrial excitation-contraction coupling occurring patients with chronic fibrillation. Cellular remodeling includes shortening of action potential duration and effective refractory period, depressed intracellular Ca2+ transient, reduced myocyte contractility. Here we summarize current knowledge ionic bases underlying these changes. Understanding molecular mechanisms excitation-contraction-coupling fibrillating human atria is important to identify new targets for AF therapy.
