摘要: We present evidence for a Spitzer-selected luminous infrared galaxy (LIRG) behind the Bullet Cluster (1E0657-56). The galaxy, originally identified as multiply imaged source using Infrared Array Camera (IRAC) photometry, has spectral energy distribution consistent with highly extincted (AV ~ 3.3), strongly star forming at z = 2.7. Using our strong gravitational lensing model presented in previous paper, we find that magnifications are |μ| 10-50 three images of galaxy. brightest and faintest differ by factor 3.2 magnification. implied luminosity is being LIRG, stellar mass M * 2 × 1010 ☉ formation rate (SFR) ~90 yr–1. With lensed fluxes 24 μm 0.58 mJy 0.39 two images, this presents unique opportunity detailed study an obscured starburst SFR comparable to L* galaxies > 2.
