摘要: Design criteria for the construction of high‐energy transversely excited (TE) sequence CO2 lasers are presented. It is demonstrated that intracavity hot cells a simple and efficient means converting conventional TE to operation on transitions. Sequence output energies 6 J per pulse have been obtained from 1‐m discharge. Factors such as cell pressure degree excitation in discharge shown be important considerations design lasers. Possible applications high power discussed.
