摘要: The influence of electromagnetic scattering by Au and silica nanoparticles placed atop silicon photovoltaic devices on absorption photocurrent generation has been investigated. produce substantial increases in power transmission into the semiconductor consequently response from ∼500to>1000nm. Increases conversion efficiency under simulated solar irradiation up to 8.8% are observed experimentally, numerical simulations provide quantitatively accurate predictions these enhancements. Additional indicate that concepts can be applied a broad range device structures, including those based low-index materials for which conventional antireflection coatings problematic.
