摘要: The hepatoprotective effect of the ethanol extract (AvEE) and main flavonoid compound 4′-methoxy-5,7-dihydroxyflavone 6-C-β-glucopyranoside (isocytisoside, ISOC) from leaves stems Aquilegia vulgaris L. were studied using CCl4-induced hepatotoxicity test. The acute toxicity test in mice showed that AvEE can be classified as nontoxic since a dose 3000 mg/ kg did not cause mortality. The barbiturate-induced sleeping time prolonged by CCl4 administration to was significantly reduced after treatment proving protective on microsomal drug-metabolizing enzymes. AvEE ISOC administered rats 48 h, 24 h 2 before, 6 intoxication caused significant decrease elevation hepatic enzymes activity serum, i.e. sorbitol dehydrogenase (SDH), glutamate oxaloacetate pyruvate transaminases (GOT, GPT). Both substances induced CCl4-diminished erythrocyte superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities glutathione peroxidase (GPx) reductase (GR) preliminarily enhanced CCl4. The properties confirmed pathomorphological examination liver. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
