摘要: Buildings are one of the largest consumers electricity. Dominant electricity consumption within buildings, contributed by plug loads, lighting and air conditioning, can be significantly improved using Occupancy-based Building Management Systems (Ob-BMS). In this paper, we address three critical aspects Ob-BMS i.e. 1) Modular sensor node design to support diverse deployment scenarios; 2) architecture scale fine resolution monitoring; 3) Detailed analysis collected data for smarter actuation. We present key learning across these evolved over more than year experiences. The a period time specific requirements. With an opportunity at host institute where two dorm buildings were getting constructed, planned infrastructure required monitoring embedded in phase share our preliminary experiences thereof. Prototype sensing system as per was performed faculty offices with effective collection worth 45 days. Collected is analyzed accounting efficient switching appliances, addition energy conservation user comfort earlier occupancy based frameworks. Our shows that prediction simple heuristic modeling achieve similar performance complex Hidden Markov Models, thus simplifying analytic framework.
