摘要: Simple Fe(NO3)2·9H2O was demonstrated to be able catalyze the oxidation of monoterpenes by hydrogen peroxide in methyl alcohol solution. Compared with previous iron-catalyzed methods, present procedure avoids use stabilizing ligands, additives, and corrosive organic oxidants. A novel, simple highly efficient catalyst system developed for oxidizing into a valuable derivates using peroxide, an environmentally friendly oxidant. Possible steps involved Fe(III)-catalyzed β-pinene myrtenol ether
