摘要: An analysis of private potable water well data was conducted for seven single family residential developments in southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. Background were available 165 wells within the communities when first drilled 1980s and early 1990s. Sampling 75 these same performed 2006 to determine whether conversion land housing along with use conventional on-lot septic systems had resulted elevated concentration nitrate-nitrogen drinking aquifer. The indicate that prior influenced occurrence median background dataset 2.9 mg/L. One hundred-seven those on previously used active agricultural purposes. nitrate 3.8 Of 48 forested land, 1.1 mg/L, approximately 3.5 times lower than land. sampling 3.6 an increase 0.7 has not contamination aquifer respect nitrate-nitrogen. Likewise, suggest significant improvements overall quality.
