摘要: AIM To investigate and compare the prevalence of biological complications failure implants placed in pristine vs. augmented sites after a mean observation period at least 10 years. MATERIALS AND METHODS The focused question "In patients with osseointegrated dental implants, are there differences implant sites?" was addressed using Population, Exposure, Comparison Outcome criteria. Electronic manual searches supplemented by screening grey literature were carried out. A case definition peri-implant mucositis peri-implantitis had to be specified. The binary random-effects method chosen conduct meta-analyses. Results presented as Forest plots weighted values 95% confidence intervals (CI). I statistic test applied quantify heterogeneity. Newcastle-Ottawa Scale parameters provided Cochrane Center CONSORT statement used for quality assessment. results reported according PRISMA guidelines. RESULTS No randomized clinical trial (RCT) comparing outcomes identified. Five case-series studies, one case-control study, cross-sectional study RCT eligible qualitative quantitative analyses. No statistically significant (p > .05) observed between any outcome variables both patient levels, respectively. High heterogeneity concerning sampling, definitions eligibility criteria observed. CONCLUSION The studies included present systematic review did not directly address questions. Hence, meta-analysis should interpreted caution due high variability respect design.
