摘要: Abstract Background: Several studies demonstrated the feasibility of minimally invasive parathyroidectomy as a treatment for primary hyperparathyroidism. We compared its results with those traditional surgery in prospective randomized study. Methods: From March to November 1998, 38 patients eligible video-assisted (VAP) were referred us. They randomly divided into 2 groups: group A underwent conventional cervicotomy bilateral exploration and frozen section removed adenoma; B VAP intraoperative measurement parathyroid hormone. Operative time, postoperative pain, fever hypocalcemia, cosmetic result, costs compared. Two cases performed locoregional anesthesia. Results: Groups (18 patients) (20 statistically balanced. time was significantly shorter (57 vs 70 minutes).
