摘要: Photodynamic therapy of neoplastic tissues is a new treatment modality that combines the in- vivo administration photosensitizer followed by its excitation with visible light, which leads to photochemical reaction and tissue destruction. Naphthalocyanine derivatives are class second-generation photosensitizers have excellent prospects as photodynamic therapeutic agents. Relevant these types applications their properties, tumor-localizing abilities, ability elicit responses. Bis(di- isobutyloctadecylsiloxy)silicon 2,3-naphthalocyanine (isoBOSINC) illustrates some above promising photoproperties: absorption in red at 776 nm an extinction coefficient greater than 105 M-1 cm-1, triplet state lifetime 331 microseconds singlet oxygen yields approximately 0.20. Due high degree hydrophobicity, metallonaphthalocyanines require variety approaches before they can be administered cells vitro or injected vivo. One approach selection solubilizing agents vehicles such solution Tween 80 saline emulsions Cremophor EL saline. This paper describes studies (a) drug uptake tumors other function isoBOSINC's dose; (b) levels normal versus tumor-bearing rats; (c) in-vitro photostability isoBOSINC; (d) effects delivery systems on pharmacokinetics, PDT outcome.© (1996) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
