摘要: In finite element analysis of pile driving, the nodes mesh are most important locations for output stresses. Especially at pile‐soil interface, it is essential to obtain accurate nodal Several global and local stress smoothing methods available in literature were reviewed examined. Global found be computationally expensive, so results obtained from several compared. It shown that stresses can by approximating distribution inside four‐element patches a polynomial with order equal shape functions. Equally good each bilinear surface. When method taking into account both equilibrium boundary conditions was applied, set ill‐conditioned matrices produced patches. Such therefore not recommended.
