摘要: In almost all villages in Iran backyard birds, especially chickens, are kept for egg and meat production. AI H9N2 subtype is endemic Iran. Therefore, estimation of prevalence among these birds important to determine the risk transmission infection commercial farms. The aim this study was estimate subclinical infections or previous exposure H5, H7, H9 subtypes identify potentially determinants infectious at premises level poultry, bird gardens, zoos, wild markets A survey conducted using a cross-sectional design throughout entire country. total 329 villages, seven three zoos five were included. each village four families that included collection biological samples background information. Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) used as screening test ELISA-positive examined with HI differentiate H9. Among eight 15 (53.3%) positive both ELISA H9N2. Testing collected revealed 296 out (90%) had tests also HI-H9 mean titers units significantly higher than negative (P .05). results showed variables, mountainous area protective factor lack hygienic disposal dead AI; observed rural poultry. high sero-prevalence influenza domestic poultry indicates disease endemic. It necessary include any surveillance system control strategy due existence AIV possibility Implementation an program biosecurity measures can be useful prevent from spreading Furthermore there no destruction infected H9N2, so effective vaccination regard issues such acceptability cost-benefit must play role reducing
