Rise of the Rest: The Growing Impact of Non-Elite Journals

摘要: In this paper, we examine the evolution of impact non-elite journals. We attempt to answer two questions. First, what fraction top-cited articles are published in journals and how has changed over time. Second, total citations We studied 1995-2013. computed 10 most-cited 1000 each year for all 261 subject categories Scholar Metrics. marked a category as elite rest non-elite.
