摘要: Morphological linkages and discontinuities have been defined in both natural anthropogenic terms. Such terms are considered useful understanding the spatial temporal roles of erosion from source areas, as indicated by linkages, when they operation, discontinuities, which act storages or buffers stabilizing landscapes. The latter slow promote conservation particularly Mediterranean where human impacts thought to be more important than processes. These concepts illustrated reference three case studies Durance Valley: a part landscape, on floodplain segment along main channel. While there major concerns semiarid parts these seasonally dry zones, present conditions humid south France, supplied also exotic upper catchments, under less threat degradation. This is until such times water shortages may occur, due changed regimes, anticipated predicted global warming climate changes, continuing development this area. D 2006 Elsevier B.V.
