摘要: An SUV-150B spectroradiometer for measuring solar ultraviolet (UV) irradiance was installed at Summit, Greenland, in August 2004. Here we compare the initial data from this new location with similar measurements Barrow, Alaska, and South Pole. Measurements of 345 nm performed equivalent zenith angles (SZAs) are almost identical Summit The good agreement can be explained two sites on high-altitude ice caps high surface albedo. Clouds attenuate both by less than 6% average, but reduce Barrow more 75%. Clear-sky smaller 14% spring 36% summer, mostly due to differences albedo altitude. Comparisons model calculations indicate that aerosols clear-sky 4–6%; aerosol influence is largest April. Differences total ozone three have a large UV Index. At Pole, Index average 20–80% larger during hole period between January March. peaks April Indices 10–25% summer. Maximum ever observed Pole 6.7, 5.0, 4.0, respectively. value site's lower latitude. For comparable SZAs, measured October November 1.9–2.4 times March Summit. Average over 50% greater because cloud Barrow.
