摘要: Synthetic polymers are attracting growing attention as additives for laundry and personal care products. In particular, the high volatility of many common fragrances requires development polymeric particles their encapsulation controlled release. Unfortunately, vast majority these carriers is made from that not biodegradable. This poses severe concerns about accumulation nano- microplastics. Hence, such expected to be banned market in coming years. Therefore, biodegradable enabling a long-lasting release urgently needed. this work, we produced nanoparticles (NPs) structurally composed lactones, i.e. well known perfumes occur naturally already considered safe by regulatory agencies. We polymerized lactones via ring opening polymerization (ROP) using an ionizable tertiary amine initiator produce single step amphiphilic oligoesters able directly self-assemble into NPs once nanoprecipitated water. way, can with perfume loading up 85 % w/w without need additional surfactants. Subsequently show group confer positive charge our and, turn, adsorption capacity on natural fibers (i.e. hairs cotton fabric). Finally, demonstrate nanoparticle resistance rinsing ability fragrance perception treated hair swatches at least 3 weeks.
