Evaluation of heavy metal contamination in agricultural topsoils in suburban Xuchang City, China

摘要: Agricultural topsoils in suburban Xuchang City were analyzed to determine the concentrations of heavy metals (Mn, Cr, Ni, Cu, Pb and Zn). The contamination levels evaluated using geo-accumulation index, enrichment factor integrated pollution index. According concentration indices results, Mn, Cr Ni exhibited non-contaminated minor enrichment, with little no contribution metal contamination. Zn showed moderate moderately severe at several points. variable intensities human activities, such as traffic flow number industrial factories, explain between sample sites.
