摘要: Abstract Expanding bioenergy conversion and composting of organics can enable a near-term transition away from the landfilling, burning, mismanagement biomass residues. Strategic development transportation, storage, infrastructure to this expansion requires detailed information on patterns drivers waste production, quality, geography that are currently lacking. This analysis contributes new geographic temporal data residue availability for state California. Biomass residues characterized year 2014 at county- month-scales agriculture, municipal, forestry sectors in California, with values collected or estimated numerous publications, databases, industry surveys, methodologies. We present methods developing supply scenarios out 2050 reflect anticipated changes key environmental, market, policy drivers. Our results suggest production could grow 16% by 71 million tonnes dry-matter per year, co-processing diverse high-moisture sources storage seasonally available low-moisture is needed ensure adequate steady facilities. Additional research better reporting organic management bound uncertainties regarding response market trends recycling policies, influence agricultural practices, plant selection, climate impacts yields.
