摘要: Absorption due to immersion in aqueous media consisting of either saline or seawater exposure water vapor conditions and the attendant effect on compressive properties syntactic foam reinforced with E-glass fibers form chopped strands were studied. Whereas strength decreased samples exposed vapor, immersed showed increase when compared dry sample. The decrease vapor-exposed case is ascribed higher absorption debonding damaged features for interfaces. enhancement values saltish traced larger size chloride ion resultant changes stress state around fiber-bearing regions. Recourse an analysis scanning electron microscopic pictures compression-failed taken explain observed trends.
