摘要: This paper investigates the long-run relationships between size and age composition of a city’s population price local housing. For estimation purposes, we combine city-level demographic information with hous-ing data for 87 cities in Germany over period 1995-2012. Employing panel error correction framework that accounts evolution city income other controls, find urban house prices perform stronger grow or less rapidly. A combination empirical estimates current projections suggests aging will exert considerable downward pressure on upcoming years.
