The comprises at least promoter metal selected from Group VIII, IIB, IIA, IVA combinations thereof having an oxidation state of +2 or +4, one VIB +6, organic oxygen-containing ligand. Catalysts prepared the sulfidation precursors used in hydroprocessing hydrocarbon feeds.
