摘要: Over the past few decades, human papillomavirus (HPV) has been recorded as a key player in development of various genital cancers, most notably cervical cancer. It also associated with some non-genital cancers. A subset oropharyngeal cancers are known to be caused by HPV. Its aetiological involvement suggested for breast and lung cancer well. However, reports regarding HPV DNA detection vary widely from different parts world. Due scarcity local data this regard, the current study aimed at retrospective presence archival samples patients north part country. total 55 formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections invasive ductal carcinoma breast (n = 46) (n = 9) were collected study. Genotyping HPV16 18 was carried out through PCR. found both prevalence rate 17 11 %, respectively. An interesting association was between ER/PR (Oestrogen/Progesterone receptor) HER2/Neu (Human epidermal growth factor receptor-2) positivity occurrence tumours. Current shows archived clinical biopsy (17, 11 %), positive correlation HER2-positive These initial findings warrant further investigation order determine role especially ER/PR/HER2-positive on larger scale.
