Ultrathin coatings from isocyanate-terminated star PEG prepolymers: layer formation and characterization

摘要: In this study we present the preparation of thin and ultrathin coatings from six-arm star-shaped isocyanate-terminated prepolymers on amino-functionalized silicon wafers. The backbone stars is a statistical copolymer ethylene oxide propylene in ratio 80:20 (Star PEG). Film by spin coating aqueous THF resulted variety film morphologies that are determined water content solvent. Water indispensable for activation solution proper cross-linking substrate. This results dense network PEG chains substrate linked via urea groups with mesh size corresponds to arm length stars.
