摘要: Smoking cigarettes is a gendered activity with sex- and gender-specific uptake trends cessation patterns. While global male smoking rates have peaked, female are set to escalate in the 21st century, especially low middle income countries. Hence, for women will be an ongoing issue requires refreshed attention. Public health promotion messages being challenged increasingly tailored, taking gender into account. Women-centred approaches that include harm-reduction, motivational interviewing trauma-informed elements new frontiers interventions encourage women. Such linked meanings of women, adaptive function of, overall role context women’s lives. These respect sex-related factors affect respond these issues, not by reinforcing destructive or negative norms, but insight. This article discusses women-centred approach could underpin initiatives clinical, community public settings inform campaigns messaging.
