A new variety of an Onomarchus from British India (Orthoptera, Tettigoniidae)

摘要: The following description was made after a single female specimen from the "Museum d' Histoire Naturelle" in Geneva. differs some respects widely distributed and rather common Onomarchus uninotatus (Serville, 1839, p. 468) which is recorded southern part of China, Annam, Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Bangka, Amboina, Batu Islands Australia, but on other hand these differences are not such striking importance to separate it as new species. I am inclined consider local variety O. (Serv.) 1). Onomarchus var. carli nov. var. Holotype: 1 ♀ Mudomalai near Madura, South India, leg. Carl Escher, 8-II-1927. In general shape measurements almost conform average details: tegmina very light green (Ridgway, 1912, pl. 31, shade between Glass Green Kildare Green). Along veins colour slightly darker than centres cells. There no distinct white patch at tegminal basis whitish line found posteriorly along red Nervus Sector Radii (Rs). A yellow spot area Radial Medial veins, close medial vein about halfway base origin Rs. lateral lobes pronotum dark brown anterior ventral border. meso- metasternum somewhat narrower uninotatus, much broader eretaceus (=O. submuticus Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1895, 44).
