摘要: Studies of glacigenic and associated marine sediments in the Weddell Sea, fjords Spitsbergen Barents Sea show that during periods limited glacial coverage (interstadials) large amounts material may be brought into sea, mainly by meltwater. The major load is deposited relatively close to icefront (<10 km) at a rate 5–10 cm yr−1. At times maximum extent, grounded ice extends onto shelf with edge as outer limit, land inner areas are eroded. Main depositional sites then edge. The sedimentary environment outside an characterized low clastic supply, from icebergs. Due turbidity supply nutrient-rich water, biogenic matter accumulates, leading glaciomarine sequence rich bioclastics. Sea-level lowering results grounding seaward expansion shelf. Subsequent eustatic rise causes float. Deglaciation sea-level reduces input shelves. Glacial reworked, carbonates accumulate, forming tillite-carbonate (e.g. Late Precambrian). Break-up sheets such sheet seems have taken place stepwise, response climatic changes.
