摘要: Here, using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM), we demonstrate that Au-pyridyl coordination can be used to assemble two-dimensional network structures on metal surfaces, whose polymorphism manipulated at both the micro- and nanoscale. Using same organic ligand, assembled two distinct polymorphic structures, which were respectively assisted by threefold Ag(111) with predeposited Au atoms (α-network), twofold Au(111) (β-network). Specifically, single-oriented β-network domains as large ~400 nm selected thermal annealing. We ascribe this global control strategy bonding protocols tuned molecule-substrate interactions. an STM tip, succeeded in creating α-network (~10 nm) locally within homogeneous domain areas a controlled manner.
