摘要: Abstract We report on the aggregation and solvent effects one-photon absorption (1PA) two-photon (2PA) spectra of Crystal Violet (CV) chromophore, which is a model octupolar molecule. In case 1PA we have measured thresholds for three highly polar solvents (N,N-dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide propylene carbonate) water as reference. The 2PA been above threshold all selected solvents, however, measurements at concentrations below were unsuccessful. cases observed effect noticeable. On other hand, this not always consistent with polarity scale. obtained results indicate that CV in aggregates form sandwich-type dimers.
